I post on a lot of message boards, but this is one of the funniest things I have ever seen posted without a picture!

Yeah, it doesn't give you DP, and it's somewhat funny. But it doesn't really add anything to the gameplay. They could have put some more thought into it so the player can deal with it as a challenge.
It's like the GM in a RP session suddenly declaring your whole party was killed by a falling ceiling and then got resurrected, just for the hell of it.

I so PWNED that rabbit and his buddies...but that was one hell of a "WTH?!?!?!" moment!
I had fun with that rock.
Me an Seraphic Divinity were pwning monsters as per usual when I notice that my character says something in team chat about the same time that our team gets mowed down by said boulder. WE ressed and the convo went something like this:
Seraphic Divinity: What just happened?
Me: A HUGE ass rock just happened
Me: Indiana Jones style!
Seraphic: ROFL
And we moved on with our lives...err...game.
To the OP: Learn to laugh at things like this and you'll end up with a lot less frown-lines. Not to mention a lot less stressed.

When the rock first came, I was in the middle of a fight and I was a little startled. However, I remembered one of the videos showing a guy getting flattened by a fireball, and knew the boulder would do the same. I managed to barely dodge it, and it flattened the foes I had been fighting. Unfortunately, both Ogden and Lina seemed to prefer the pancake look.

That rock is a pretty funny, also one of the biggest "wtf" moment for first timers.
I remember going through there the second time with a guildie and some heroes, I flagged my heroes back to try and "agro" the rock... little did I know, the rock spawned on my heroes and still crushed me.

The topic title is funny. The rock trap itself is funny. In fact, the only time I've resented it is when I alone managed to avoid it and I didn't have any revive spells, so I had to kill myself in a normal way (with DP) in order to get my party back.
But really I think it's a nice touch.

Personally I thought the rock was a nice touch. Classic "wtf" moment, and a good laugh.
And for the record...I now have a deep hate for rabbits!

Oh YESSSSSSS!

Send an employee to each players house and hold a gun to their head and dare them to complain.
That'd make everyone 'happy' by default. Happy being the operative of course...

The two giant ice boulders in "Defense of the eye" killed me as well, not because I didn't see them coming, but because those damn centaurs had me body-blocked into a corner!

I've got the perfect solution to aid the OP and others. Whenever the boulder gets near, change the music to Rawhide. Imagine exploring a creepy dungeon and all of a sudden you hear this playing. I'd be looking for a hidey hole.
